Our first mini-stop was in Delta, UT at my grandparents. It served as a great pit stop on our 13 hour drive (should only take 10.5) while we let the kids run around. As a little girl, my grandpa would take me and my cousins on tractor rides. Fortunately, he's still at it. Here's the kids with Grandpa Great.
We headed to Fallon to see Grandpa and Grandma Anna and their new business. In the downturn of the economy, my parents thought they had better reinvent themselves and their livelihood rather than depend on the real-estate market. The business has done well for the few months they have been in business. It is a wellness center and woman’s exercise gym. They have colonic beds, steam shower, infrared sauna, Meagan bed, jiggler machine (I don’t know what it’s really called), an inversion table, a toxin removing foot-bath, and other sorts of alternative health stuff. The kids had fun trying out all the equipment.
And of course, a trip to Fallon would not be complete without playing in the “lake” in Grandma and Grandpa’s backyard when they irrigate. Grandpa tows the kids around on intertubes and gets his workout for the year!

The other tradition is the wagon rides. My dad hooks up a wagon to the riding lawn mower and the kids take Roxy captive (my parent's teacup poodle) and away they go.
Once Brandon arrived for the weekend, w headed to Lake Lahontan for a little bit of jet-skiing and sun.
From there, we all drove to Idaho and stayed in Burley for a couple days. Brandon continued on to Oregon for business while me and the kids headed to the cabin! We were joined off and on by cousins and had a great time floating down the river on the big blue island and whales (grandma’s latest purchases in the way of float devices).
One of Drew's favorite play spots at the cabin is on the four-wheeler. Even if no one is giving rides, he's up on it playing around - helmet and all.
Jake liked his first trip to Island Park. He says he can’t wait until he’s big enough to go fishing on the river and Henry’s Lake. As always, when it was time to leave Island Park, it was too soon.
Grandma Sam drove us part of the way to Utah, and then we continued on solo until meeting up with Brandon in American Fork. We spent a couple days in our old stomping grounds and had a great time visiting with friends from our old neighborhood. The kids were delighted to play with Grace and Hallie and were even more thrilled when we got to stay with them a couple days. But, sadly, our trip was cut short when Corbin came down with a stomach bug. All through the night I alternated cleaning up throw up, changing sheets, feeding Jake, the six-week old babe, and comforting Drew, who had finally hit the wall after 2 ½ weeks on the road. When we got up the next morning, I decided it was time to go home.
We made a quick stop at Raelene’s and got together with the cousins and sister-in-laws. Fortunately, Natalie was in town visiting from Arizona the same time we were there so a lunch and play date worked out nicely for everyone! Natalie and Ryan had their third little one, Ryalie, three weeks before Jake was born. It’s crazy to see so many little kids all at once! Considering Audrey does not turn eight for another month, we had 11 kids ages seven and younger, posing for a picture. Haha.

We made it home in time to recoup for a couple days and finish last minute school shopping. Let the madness of early mornings, school lunches, homework, and carpooling begin.

Wow! lots of updates. When did you find the time? I still love this grandkid pic. It's one of their best since with the exception of Jake, they are all looking at the camera, with a semi-pleasant expression. The kids are so cute in their uniforms.
